This policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit sergiocastagna.com, book a meeting, subscribe to our publications or contact us. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, on the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Visiting the site
Each time you visit, the server of our hosting provider, Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland), records technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. These logs are used to operate and secure the site. They are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.
The site uses the Inter typeface, loaded from Google Fonts servers. Your browser therefore sends your IP address to Google.
Cookies and audience measurement
The site itself sets no cookies. It only stores, in your browser, your choice regarding the tools described below.
Only with your consent, the site loads two measurement tools that set their own cookies:
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) measures site traffic: pages viewed, visit duration, referring site, device type and approximate location. Google Analytics does not log IP addresses. We use these statistics to understand which content is useful and to improve the site. Data are kept for no more than 14 months. See Google's privacy policy.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company) sends LinkedIn information about your visit (pages viewed, IP address, browser identifiers). We use it to measure the reach of our campaigns and to show our publications on LinkedIn to people who have already visited the site. We receive only aggregated statistics and cannot identify visitors. See LinkedIn's privacy policy.
These tools load only after you click “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. Cookies already set can be deleted in your browser settings.
Embedded content. Some pages embed a Calendly booking module or a Substack subscription form. These services may set their own cookies when these modules are displayed.
Booking a meeting
Meetings are booked through Calendly (Calendly LLC, United States). When you book a call, you provide your name, email address and any information you choose to add. We use them to organise and prepare the conversation.
Publications and newsletter
The “Receive our publications” form on the site lets you choose one or more lists (AI News, Blog, First AI Workflow). We process your email address, your first name and, if you provide it, your company, solely to send you the publications you selected. Your subscription only takes effect after you click the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). We keep proof of this confirmation (date, lists selected, a non-reversible hash of your IP address) for as long as you remain subscribed.
The lists are managed with Infomaniak Newsletter (Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland). Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Legal basis where the GDPR applies: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Some publications are also distributed on Substack (Substack Inc., United States). If you subscribe directly on Substack, Substack processes your email address under its own policy.
Contact form, email, phone or LinkedIn
The contact form sends your name, email address, message and, if you provide them, your company and role. These data are forwarded by email to info@sergiocastagna.com and are not stored on the site.
When you write to us or call us, we process your contact details and the content of your messages to reply and to follow up on the professional relationship. Our email is hosted by Infomaniak (Switzerland).
Data submitted through the LinkedIn contact form are covered by a specific notice.
Purposes and legal bases
We process your data to operate and secure the site, respond to your requests, arrange conversations, perform engagements and, with your consent, measure audience.
Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating the site and responding to professional enquiries, on pre-contractual steps or the performance of a contract, on your consent (Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight Tag, subscription) and, where relevant, on legal obligations.
Recipients and international transfers
We do not sell your data. They are processed by the providers needed for the services described above: Infomaniak (Switzerland), Google, LinkedIn, Calendly and Substack, as well as the contact-management and productivity tools we use to follow up on our professional exchanges.
Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by law, such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep data for as long as necessary for the purposes described. Exchanges that did not lead to an engagement are normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months of the last meaningful contact. Documents relating to an engagement are kept for the legal period, which is 10 years for accounting records.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, their correction or their deletion. Depending on the applicable law, you may also object to processing, request its restriction, obtain your data in a structured format and withdraw any consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, write to info@sergiocastagna.com. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the data protection authority in your country of residence.
Security
Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss and unauthorised access.
Changes
This policy will be updated when our processing changes, in particular when a sign-up form is added to the site. The current version is always published on this page.
